I spent a lot of last night just making a low poly character model for Thrash. The first image depicts the final polished model. I was up until about 3 in the morning just making this look right.
After that, i spent a shit ton of this morning and afternoon just UV unwrapping the model. I gave some areas greater priority than others since I'll be giving those spots in the model greater levels of detail with certain aspects of it, such as the bloody runes on the cuirass and the details of the helmet.
I probably could've made better use of the space, but I'm going to be using a 2048x2048 texture map, so I'm not too worried about the detail getting all muddy. There should be plenty of space for the arms and legs, I'm just giving the head and torso a lot more detail is all.
That, and I'm a bit OCD with this kind of shit, so i want it to look super organized. It'll help with remembering what everything is while I'm mapping it, and labeling it will also further help with that.
